Honoring Education in Lake Oswego
Rotary’s goal is to make the world a better place, and education is fundamental to that goal. Because of that, the Lake Oswego Rotary Club believes in recognizing and acknowledging the work of educators and the strong supporters of educators in our community. We are fortunate to live in a community that values education so highly.
In addition to having a nationally recognized public school system, Lake Oswego has a number of private schools that provide a broad spectrum of exceptional educational services and opportunities for students to reach their highest potential. We have many reasons to celebrate and honor those who make our educational community great.
Purpose of the SASEE Awards
The Service Above Self: Educational Excellence (SASEE) awards program was developed as a way to help recognize the work that our educators, students, and community citizens are doing to enhance education and to make Lake Oswego the wonderful place that it is.
Those being recognized in this seventh annual SASEE Awards build character and awareness while positively influencing our thinking, our decisions, and ultimately our collective behavior. Acknowledging those who make a difference and perpetuating these qualities is why the SASEE Awards exist.
